Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences (QIMS) was established in 2011 under the auspices of Pakistan Army with an aim to bring the aspiring youth of Balochistan into national stream. Foundation of this Institution was based on the vision of making it a center of excellence in medical education. Ever since its inception, the institute has distinctively excelled in academic as well as extra-curricular activities.

QIMS has been recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) since 2012. The Institute has achieved international recognition through its inclusion in the International Directory of Medical Colleges by WHO and is also accredited by Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research. QIMS is affiliated with National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) Rawalpindi, one of the most prestigious medical universities of Pakistan.

Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta, a well reputed tertiary care hospital of Pakistan Armed Forces is affiliated as teaching hospital with QIMS. The hospital is fully equipped with state of the art electro-medical equipment and patient care facilities. It provides excellent opportunities for training of our medical students.

QIMS believes in education for all, in which no academically deserving student from Balochistan should be deprived of medical education. Subsidized seats have been made available for competent students from humble background through Government of Balochistan and QIMS.
