Department of Medical Education is a recent emergence that has gained strength in last few years. Conceptually all disciplines in medical training work under the umbrella of Department of Medical Education. The mission of the department is to improve the quality of medical education being imparted to the future doctors and other health providers in order to improve the health status of the people of the country. Besides, it plays an important role in faculty development and in the development of relevant and effective training programs. The department thus deals with curricular activities like syllabi, examinations, student’s record and continuing medical and professional education.
