The course of Pharmacology covers chemical structure of different drugs, their pharmacological effects on the cell and organs of the human body. The mechanism of action and metabolism of drugs in the body with emphasis on their therapeutic use is also taught. Problem based learning (PBL) case-based learning and interactive sessions are an integral part of the teaching methodology to encourage participation of students in the learning process. Prescription writing and elementary biostatistics also form an essential component of practical training.
