Sports Week 2024 was conducted in QIMS from 08 to 14h May 2024. All students at QIMS College took part in a series of sporting activities during the ‘Sports Week 2024’. Sports Week is not only a great opportunity to get students involved in the familiar sports but it is also a perfect time to get students involved in a various sports activities where they can be introduced to new and exciting sports which they may not normally participate in.
The weeklong event was filled with fervor and excitement experienced amidst thrills and cheers. Both male and female students participated in different events throughout the week including Cricket, Foot Ball, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tug of war and Athletics.
OPENING CEREMONY of QIMS Sports Week 2024 was held on 07 March 2024 at QIMS Sports Area. Director Education Headquarters 12 Corps, Brig Sajid Azeem participated in the event as Chief Guest. The students decorated the college for the ceremony and took part with great zeal and enthusiasm. Opening ceremony started with recitation from Holy Quran followed by oath taking of participants. The oath was administered by Lt Col Asim MinAllah (Director Student Affairs). After declaration of opening of the sports week 2024, all the Students, Guests and faculty showed their great interest in balloons flying and various formation / creative activities presented by the students. All the participating team joined the event lead by their respective CRs holding their team colors and signs. All players were in proper sports kit. They carried out march-past which was well coordinated with full passion & enthusiasm. Majority of faculty staff / Students witnessed the opening ceremony and appreciated this mega event.

CLOSING CEREMONY of Sports week 2024 was held on 14 May 2024 at QIMS Sports Area. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Ms Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Minister Education GoB. At the closing ceremony Drama, Songs, Funny Poetry, and many other colorful programmes were presented by the students which attained the high attention of audience. At the end prize / trophies distribution among winners of various sports event / disciplines was held. Chief Guest Ms Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani distributed the prize among the winners. While addressing the audience she said that I would like to emphasize upon you to be resilient, determined, and you all must know how to adapt to the ever-changing situation. These are in many ways the skills of our time, so I have every confidence that you will achieve the Olympian heights of success in your professional lives.
This is a moment of joy for the faculty, staff, students and their parents that the hard work, sincerity and commitment has made this moment possible.

A Qawali Night was also organized in the end for entertainment purpose. Young local singers spell bounded audience with their magical voice and selection of songs. They received thundering applause from the faculty and participants. A great interest was observed among the students and the audience. Principal and Commandant QIMS appreciated the work of Sports Committee specially Director Sports and Incharge Sports for arranging successful sports week.
